Why I Became a Coach

Gosh. These moments. These precious, random, yet perfectly timed moments get me every.single.time.

I woke up. I ran 6 miles. I worked out and just as I was about to shutdown the gym this little one walks in and asks, “can I take a picture of my muscles with you?”

Her hair still smashed on the side of her head from a peaceful and restful nights rest. Her soft spoken voice that hasn’t had a chance to wake up yet. And her gentle touch and slight grab of my hand as she walked me to the chalkboard.

All of it had me smiling ear to ear with tears in my eyes. See THIS… THIS is WHY I do what I do everyday and why it was so very important that I change my path and realign my priorities.

It wasn’t like this 2 years ago. I was RUSHING from the moment I woke up to the moment I laid my head down every.single.day. I had to get up and workout by this time, to get ready by this time, to make it to work by this time, to leave by this time, to get home and get the girls by this time, to make dinner by this time, and to get the house cleaned and ready to go by this time ONLY to turn around and do it all over again the next day by THIS TIME.

I’m DONE with that way of living. I’m so unbelievably grateful to have had this opportunity to change my path and to have CHANGED IT! Everything, and I mean everything was worth it!

Do not give up on your dreams. Do not give in because things get hard. Do not stop. Do NOT let anything stand in your way of realizing what it is you want out of life because this is the only life we get! Make it everything you dreamed of and MORE!
