Second verse, same as the first, I’m Henry the…. wait, wait, wait.  Sorry.  I got off on a tangent before I even got started but that’s because Week 3 of P90X3 is the same line-up of exercises as Week 1 & 2.   In this post, I will provide you with my assessment on the P90X3 Workout and give you a review of Week 3.  So, as far as those are concerned I’m still enjoy the routines BUT what I have noticed is HOW MUCH STRONGER I have become since starting just a short 3 weeks ago.  Many of the challengers in our Test Group have said the same thing.  

I was able to complete the entire CVX routine with a 10lb weight in my hands again and honestly think I can move up to 12lbs now.  I’m doing the entire set of push ups required.  I’m even starting to give the pull up bar a try and have noticed that I’m doing more reps and hanging longer even if they are only half extensions at this point. 

The Warrior still kicks my butt but I’m getting it done anyway.  All in all, HUGE thumbs up so far on this program.  I’m looking forward to Week 4 and the *NEW* exercises that  will be introduced. 

NOW, with that extra strength has come some extra pounds!  Yep.  You heard me right.  I have been able to maintain my 131 lb frame for over a year now and I’m up to 134 as of today. Over the last couple years, I’ve learned that weight is just a number and it does NOT define me but I won’t lie… I was a little shocked reading the scale.  The nice thing is, I don’t look or feel heavier so I’m sure it is muscle mass and I’m A-OK with that!  I’m know I will get great results from this program so I’m staying laser focused on that and not letting this be a distraction to my progress.   I’m mentioning this because I know many struggle in the beginning of a program when they don’t see the scale moving.  What is important is that you continue to work hard and focus on your nutrition.  The results will be right around the corner.  This program is structured to reduce body fat and help you gain muscle.  This WILL cause your weight to stay flat or possibly increase like mine did so DON’T WORRY!  You’ll start to see and feel the difference over the next couple weeks.  IGNORE the scale!!

On a brighter note, I have been keeping up with my running and ran a pretty quick 9/10 mile run last Sunday.  It may have been the result of Beachbody’s pre-work out formula, Energy & Endurance (E&E).  If you are looking for a boost in that department, I highly recommend it.  It’s not like typically energy drinks where you are left feeling jittery.  This is a nice blend of amino acids, vitamins, and caffeine that wakes the muscles up and gets them primed for working out!   Check it out HERE if you’re interested.

Nutrition was OK.  Not my best, not my worst but OK.  I celebrated my daughter’s 4th birthday and enjoyed a sugar cookie with icing and sprinkles with her.  That’s what life is about.  ENJOY the moments when you have them!

On to week 4!!!  I can’t wait to see what is in store for us now!
