Lose Weight for Good

I know some of my friends, fans and followers are gasping looking at this image… including myself! Mostly because many think I’ve always been in great shape. Sadly, that couldn’t be further from the truth.

I was an athlete all my life and then something happened from the time I started college to the time I had my 2nd child.

Lose Weight For Good

>> I started to lose ME. I was focused on being everything to everyone. I worked 2 jobs, went to college full time, wasn’t in the healthiest of relationships, and thought the world revolved around money and making as much of it as I could. That’s why I was hell bent at rising to the top of the corporate ladder before I was 30 years old.

I reached all my goals and then some but guess what? Not a darn thing changed! Sure, we had more money but at the end of the day, that didn’t do anything but bring more “stuff” into our life. There was one MAJOR factor missing for me… FULFILLMENT. See, money can’t buy fulfillment. Money can’t buy your passion for life. Your purpose for being here. Your joy. Your love. Your light.

Don’t get me wrong, it affords you liberties that you otherwise can’t have without it but it does no good if you are not happy… If you are not waking up every day with a burning desire to be something and to do something GREAT with your life! If all you do is complain about having to go to work, having to miss your children’s events, having to stress about whether you have enough PTO or this or that. It does no good if you have no control over your own reigns.

So, let me be the first to say…. this throwback thursday photo means so much MORE to me than you’ll ever realize. Not because I can see a difference in my physical appearance but because I found ME again! Because I found a way to lose weight for good and not just physical weight but the weight that as women we tend to carry around on our shoulders as we mature, as we become professionals, wives and parents.  I found something that I am deeply passionate about. Because I no longer work in Corporate America for someone else, building someone else’s dreams. Because through fitness and good nutrition, I found a body that I used to dream of and FULFILLMENT by becoming a coach to pay it forward and help others find the same thing in life!

<3 I LOVE BEING A BEACHBODY COACH because it literally changed MY life! <3

I like my job and I do not want to be self-employed. I’m married, with two boys (7 & 4), work a full time, and in school part time. I struggle to find balance with my weight and fitness while meeting my needs and my family needs. Do you feel like you could have reached your goal still working in the corporate world?

    • Absolutely. I didn’t leave my corporate job until last year. I worked, worked my coaching business, and stayed on track and improved my overall fitness and health for 2 years. It’s absolutely doable if you want it bad enough.
