Shaun T’s Focus T25 workout is in one word… AH-MAZING! Let me tell you. My VERY first Beachbody program was Insanity and while I loved that workout, I love Focus T25 even more! Gasp! I know. It’s hard to believe but hear me out.
T25 vs Insanity
Insanity was just that, INSANE. I loved Shaun T’s enthusiasm, his drive, and his ability to motivate through the screen. I loved that I felt that I got a world-class workout in 20, 30, 40, and 50+ minutes a day. I loved that I was dripping in sweat and left shaking (and quite possibly nauseous) after many of his power sequences. Insanity created strength in my body that I never realized I was capable of creating and it also built incredible endurance which was something I needed as a long distance runner. But here is the thing, I loved Insanity but I found it difficult to incorporate in my day because of the longer workouts. I also found it to be incredibly hard on the body and only after completing Focus T25 did I realize that I do NOT need to do something crazy intense in order to get great physical results. That is one of the BIGGEST differences with the two programs. Focus T25 was just that, 25 minutes a day. 25 minutes and I could get an incredible workout. It still delivered all the same great results; firm body, defined muscles, improved running performance, stamina, endurance, etc but in a much shorter period of time each day.
Focus T25 Review
FOCUS T25 is a 10-week program that is divided into 2 blocks, ALPHA & BETA. Each block is 5 weeks long. Slightly different than Insanity, Shaun T decided to pull out all of the rest time to give you everything you need and nothing your don’t in 25 minutes! All you need to do is FOCUS your intensity for 25 minutes, 5 days a week, for 10 weeks and you WILL get results. You are still getting the same great Shaun T as your trainer but now you get more time back without compromising your results! I absolutely LOVED that I could use a 25 minute workout video to cross train and improve my running performance with over the scorching summer months when I just couldn’t make it out for a run.
Is this a good workout for women?
Yes! Absolutely. Just because something is advertised as “INTENSE” doesn’t mean women can’t do it. This is a great cardio, body resistance, and moderate weight lifting program that ANYONE can do. It is not only a good workout for women, it is a GREAT workout! A vast majority of my members joining me are women and all of them love this workout!
That said, I would like to mention that there is a FULL modifier that you can follow part of the time or the entire time if you need to remove any impact or intense moves that you physically are not able to do. Following the modifier doesn’t lessen your ability to get results either. As long as you are focusing on form and bring your fire and intensity to the workout every time, you will get the same great results!

It shows you exactly which workout you should be doing so there is no need to figure it out on your own.
