We are at it again but this time it’s with the fantastic and dynamic duo of Joel Freeman and Jericho McMatthews!!! You may recognize them from our previous engagement with Les Mills (they were trainers in Pump and Combat). Well, they decided to continue their fitness training career with Beachbody and will be releasing a brand new Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) infused strength training workout at the end of October! We are so excited to bring this workout to our fitness community and share our love for this style program with everyone.
CORE DE FORCE REVIEW: OVERVIEW
This workout isn’t your run-of-the-mill kickboxing workout. I’ve already seen people referring to it as a kickboxing workout and while yes, it does have MMA style stances and moves, Joel and Jericho have added a completely new dimension to it, a 360-degree core training element. This makes each workout unique and designed to give your CORE a serious workout, along with your upper and lower body.
The workouts are packed with the best of MMA-inspired training and are set up in 3-minute “rounds” which are familiar in a traditional Boxing, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai format.

Doesn’t it look like fun (with a dose of hard work!)? I know for me, this is exactly what I need to break up my routine. If you have been doing the same thing over and over, it’s time to CHANGE IT UP! You need to keep your body guessing and let’s face it, variety is a good thing.

What I love about this workout is that there is a full modifier present the entire time so you can go at YOUR pace and fitness level. Isn’t that perfect? SO, WHO IS THIS WORKOUT FOR?
ANYONE!!! Men or women who want to do something fun but break a sweat doing it! I’ve seen coach graduates of other challenging programs like 21 Day Fix Extreme, Insanity Max:30, P90Xs, etc. all say this is completely different but just as intense and invigorating. If you love MMA inspired workouts, this is the program for you!
Plus you don’t have to go to a gym! It will allow you to get a SOLID workout in without leaving the comfort of your home or taking a ton of time away from other priorities in your life too like family! Plus, you will have a ton of FUN!

CORE DE FORCE REVIEW: NUTRITION DETAILS
Alright! Lets be real. Working out is actually the EASY part of the fitness success equation! NUTRITION is the real beast to tackle so I want to share with you what the nutrition side of this program looks like. If you are familiar with our 21 Day Fix nutrition system, then you are in luck! It is very similar to that only you get MORE containers each day because you’ll be burning quite a bit more during and after your workout. If you aren’t familiar with the FIX nutrition system, make sure you check out my blog post above. It has completely transformed the way my family and I eat on a daily basis!
Here’s the thing, with this system, you don’t have to sweat the exact calorie counts. This plan is flexible and work within a rough daily calorie range, so you won’t need to keep track of calories or weight your food each day. Honestly, shifting your calories a little each day is a good way to ward off plateaus and keep that body guessing!
With this program, you will actually add containers each week you progress through the program. So, get ready for it!
WEEK 2: You get to add an extra fruit (purple container)!
WEEK 3: You get to add an additional healthy fat (blue container… can you see me smiling now!)
