She’s been hinting at it for a few weeks now and it has finally been announced that Beachbody will be releasing the *NEW* Chalene Johnson PiYo workout very soon! And if you are a huge Chalene fan like myself, I’m sure your next question will be WHEN?
Unfortunately, I don’t know! My speculation is that it will be released at the annual Beachbody Coach Summit in June 2014! They did something very similar in 2013 when T25 was released so I’m assuming they are following suit and doing it again and I cannot wait! Since I will be attending the Summit again this year, you can EXPECT that I will be getting my hands on it as soon as it is available and providing more details LIVE from Las Vegas! Yes. I am THAT excited over this fitness program!!!
Chalene Johnson PiYo – The Details:
One thing that I do know about Chalene is that she knows how to put together a SOLID workout. She has so much energy and is in unbelievable shape that I have NO doubt this will be one of my go-to workouts very soon!
So, what is PiYo? As Chalene describes it, it’s a full-body conditioning workout that will help you strengthen every muscle in your body through traditional Pilates (Pi) and Yoga (Yo) inspired moves. It will combine cardio, strength, and flexibility training to deliver serious results. Plus, I’m sure she will add her signature touch of turning up the heat and volume to get your heart rate up and the calories burning! Just like she does with TurboJam and TurboFire! (Did I mention I love her?? Well, I do!)
Let me give you an idea of what to expect if you haven’t done a PiYo routine before. These routines are meant to create an intensely defined physique-without jumps, without weights, and without joint strain. Using your OWN body weight, PiYo uses low-impact, high-intensity movements resulting in long, lean, muscles, a high, firm booty, and tight, flat, sexy abs. Hello… this is SCREAMING beach ready BODY! PiYo will work every single muscle to stabilize, stretch, and strengthen every inch of a body. And like I said, Chalene Johnson knows how to crank up the speed with fun routines that will burn crazy calories! This workout is expected to be a 60 day program with routines that are 25-45 minutes long.
