Check out my FULL review HERE!  This program is the real deal.  I was at a place in my fitness journey that I started to believe that the body I had was as good as it was going to get.  Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love the results I’ve been able to achieve over the past 3 years but there comes a point where you start thinking, “this is it.  I can’t do much more to change this area or that area.” 

Well, I have news for you… you CAN!  The 21 Day Fix Extreme does exactly what it says it does.  It helps you dial in your nutrition and increase your workout intensity to get those results you’ve been wanting.  I really couldn’t have been any happier with my results!  I finally got that “chiseled” look I was after and saw definition that I had been dreaming of for years!  


The nutrition and diet portion of the 21 Day Fix Extreme is different than what you may be used to with the original 21 Day Fix meal plan.  There are 2 main plans that you can follow, the 21 Day Fix Extreme diet plan or the 21 Day Fix Extreme Countdown to Competition plan.  Although you will use the same cute color coded containers, you will use them differently and in different combinations depending on the 21 Day Fix Extreme Diet Plan you choose to follow.  The sweet treats and flexibility of going out and enjoying a glass of wine is NOT part of either Extreme Diet Plans.  So prepare yourself now that this is a CLEAN diet with little to no “treats’.

I will say the Countdown to Competition plan is unique and should be used for a specific purpose like preparing for a fitness competition or event.  It is a very strict and dialed in plan that will have you cycling carbs throughout the week.  Just because it looks more extreme doesn’t necessarily mean your should do it to get better results.  You are going to get great results REGARDLESS of which Extreme diet plan one you choose.  So, if you aren’t competing or your aren’t at a fitness level where you are looking for that extra push and fine tuning in muscle definition, etc. I would recommend sticking with the Extreme Diet Plan. 

The use of Shakeology is instrumental in both plans.  

Shakeology is so easy and convenient to incorporate in the Extreme diest plans and counts as a Red container so that is one less meal/snack that you have to figure out each day. I highly encourage all participants to incorporate it in your nutrition on a daily basis.  You simply cannot get this type of quality superfood nutrition anywhere else and I find it helps extremely with late afternoon sweet tooth cravings, overall energy levels, and our ability to fuel our bodies with great nutrition first thing in the morning when our households are typically the most hectic and breakfast is likely to be skipped.

21 Day Fix Extreme Weight Loss PlanThe workouts are PHENOMENAL!  By far, one of my favorite workout programs to date and I’ve done just about every program at this point.  The combination of moves, cardio with weights, sequence of workouts, etc. was just perfectly planned out.  There are 7 workouts a week for the entire 3 weeks and the Extreme workout routine looks like this:

Monday: Plyo

Tuesday: Upper Body

Wednesday: Pilates (Active Recovery)

Thursday: Lower Body

Friday: Cardio

Saturday: Dirty30 Full Body workout

Sunday: Yoga (Active Recovery)


In my opinion, the 21 Day Fix Extreme workout routine is PERFECT.  It is a bit more advanced than the original 21 Day Fix workouts, especially with the weights being used throughout the workout but there is a full modifier the entire time that you can follow should you need to adjust any moves that are not comfortable or are too strenuous for you at this point in your fitness journey.  There is NOTHING wrong with following the modifier.  She is going to give you a GREAT workout too.  It is just as intense but with less impact on the body.
